What Is a Bushing with an Internal Plate Used For?
A joint of this design protects the vehicle body from vibrations and impacts transmitted through the suspension components. In addition, the metal bracket used to attach the part to the subframe or other vehicle components helps ensure stable handling:
- vibrations during acceleration are reduced;
- control arm displacement when cornering is minimized;
- the interaction of suspension components during braking is stabilized.
The flexible part of this bushing is exposed to heavy loads, including stretching, twisting, compression, and tearing.
