Silent block with inner plate
A bushing with an internal plate is a reinforced component featuring a metal bracket. Its elastic section securely connects the inner sleeve to the outer metal part. What Is a Bushing with an Internal Plate Used For?
A joint of this design protects the vehicle body from vibrations and impacts transmitted through the suspension components. In addition, the metal bracket used to attach the part to the subframe or other vehicle components helps ensure stable handling:
- vibrations during acceleration are reduced;
- control arm displacement when cornering is minimized;
- the interaction of suspension components during braking is stabilized.
The flexible part of this bushing is exposed to heavy loads, including stretching, twisting, compression, and tearing. That is why a polyurethane bushing is an excellent alternative to a hydraulic bushing.
